National Carousel Day Celebration

Saturday, July 25th 4 to 9pm

Trail Dust Town celebrates National Carousel Day on Saturday, July 25, with the grand reopening of the newly restored 1954 Allan Herschell Carousel, Tucson’s oldest carousel! Free carousel rides will be offered from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The carousel underwent an extensive renovation to restore it to full operating condition. The reopening also introduces a new community program: carousel horse adoption.

Beginning on July 25, guests can “adopt” a carousel horse. Stop by our information table for full details!

While celebrating national Carousel Day, stop by Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse or try the new Provisioner take-and-go counter. The C.P. Huntington Railroad and the Circle-the-Wagons Ferris Wheel will be open throughout the evening, and the Pistoleros Wild West Show will perform at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Watermelon Crawl

Friday, July 31, 2026 Doors 6pm, Music 7pm

The Watermelon Crawl returns! Come listen to live classic country music with the Jesse Colt Band and dance in the Savoy Opera House. Be ready to dip down, spin around, and do-si-doe while you enjoy a fun night out! This is a 21+ event.

The doors will open at 6pm. Jesse Colt Band will start their first set at 7pm and finish their last set at 10pm. There will be a bar inside the Savoy Opera House serving up watermelon-themed drinks as well as a full bar. There is no food available in the Savoy Opera House, so we recommend grabbing dinner at Pinnacle Peak or Provisioner before!

A limited number of tables are available for reservation for this event! Reserved tables are $80 per table and include both 8 chairs and 8 admissions. Tables must be completely purchased by one buyer. There will be many additional tables and seating available on a first come, first served basis the night of the event! Please note that because seating is FIRST COME FIRST SERVE, we cannot guarantee a seat, but there will be plenty of room on the dance floor!

Individual tickets are $5 each. Tickets will also be sold at the door!

Looking for dinner before your boot scootin’? Try out the brand new take-and-go restaurant The Provisioner, located to the right of the main Pinnacle Peak entrance, for a quick takeaway option. Pinnacle Peak will also be open for sit down dining, and a bar will be open within the Savoy Opera House for drink purchases.

Fairytale Tea Party

Saturday, August 22, 2026 2 to 4pm

You’re cordially invited to Trail Dust Town’s magical Fairytale Tea Party! Enjoy an afternoon of family fun with delicious snacks and tea at the Savoy Opera House, where you can meet your favorite fairy tale characters and participate in interactive activities. Capture the magic with enchanting photo opportunities, enjoy amusement rides, and even meet a unicorn! Join us for a happily ever after experience at this family-friendly event.

If you are looking for a fun, magical, family-friendly activity for kids and adults in Tucson this summer, this is the event for you!

Please note that tickets are required for all attendees, including both children/babies and adults. Tickets include tea, snacks, amusement rides, and entertainment for all.
